New Products at Madame Monogram

I've been thinking about offering some new products at MM for quite some time. In a little over a month I will be participating in New/Like New consignment sale at a local school and decided this was the perfect opportunity to put on my thinking cap. I decided to expand my offerings by adding some cute things for children. Below are several melamine plate designs that can be personalized with either names or monograms. What do you think?

This company also offers cute trays and platters. Don't you think these would make lovely hostess or teacher gifts?

In addition to these items I may also be offering place mats, puzzles, stickers, lunch boxes, and childrens stationery.

Let me know what y'all think!

The Chicks

Not too long ago I was contacted by a bride named Nicole through my etsy store to do a custom pair of chair sashes for her wedding. At first I was a little unsure of how they would turn out, but as you can see below they rocked! One sash said "The", the other read "Chicks". Placed next to each other and you had a cute photo op as well as a unique way to mark the seats for the Bride and Groom.

Jane Shauck from Iris Photography was kind enough to share this image with me. Iris Photography is based out of West Hartford, CT. If you are getting married in the North East you would be crazy not to check her availability. If you are interested in learning more about Jane and Iris Photography or just want to see more of Nicole and Tony's wedding (it was lovely) here is the link. http://photoiris.com/blog/2009/05/nicole-and-tonys-wedding-at-the-webb-barn-in-wethersfield-ct.html

New designs

Last week I stumbled across some wonderful new embroidery frames. I have these available in small, medium, large and wide (perfect for first names). These stitch out beautifully and can be done in any color combination. I think these would look great on burp cloths, tote bags, baby bibs, and so much more!

Personalized chair sashes are all the rage!

The ribbon for Madame Monogram's new line of personalized chair sashes has arrived! We are currently carrying white, ivory and a milk chocolate ribbon. Upon request the Madame can also special order petal pink , mossy green, and icy blue ribbons.

With a width of 4 inches this is the widest, most luxurious ribbon double faced satin ribbon around. The length of your finished sash will depend on the length of the chair tie that your rental company carries. Other widths are available on request.

So you may be asking yourself what does one do with a personalized chair sash? It's simple. The ribbon is layered with the rented chair cover and sash to create a special and distinct seat for the bride and groom at their reception. What do I do with this special ribbon after the party is over you may be wondering.......that is also simple. Two wonderful ideas come to mind. First you can either trim the excess from the ends and frame along with other keepsakes in a shadow box. You can also use the ribbons to tie towels on a towel bar in your master or guest bath. I have had one MM bride who has tucked her ribbons away for a future family wedding.

Above you will see three of the many options we currently offer. There are over 500 thread colors available. Wording combinations include Mr./Mrs., Bride/Groom, or a Couples Monogram. Last names may be added to Mr./Mrs. at the discretion of MM as some names are too long to work.

In addition MM can also produce custom monogrammed ribbons to be used as napkin rings or pew markers.

Other reception items available include linen cocktail napins, table runners (these look great monogrammed on a cake table and then used later in the home of the bride and groom), and dinner napkins.

Christmas Favorites

Today I am going to showcase a few of the items Madame Monogram put together for clients to give as holiday gifts. My only regret is that I did not take more pictures before I packed everything off to ship or deliver!

thermal coffee cup sleve, fits your Starbucks or other "to go" coffee's
many olors available

6x6 linen hemstitch cocktail napkins
many fonts and thread colors available

Ok, this was not a Christmas gift, but it is cute. Not pictured is the coordinating onesie in master circle.

Set of monogrammed bibs.
New bib colors coming soon!
These cosmetic bags have been a huge hit. I love the larger one for storage or traveling. The small bag is perfect to carry with you during the day or for shorter trips. Several colors are available.
Popular gifts that are not featured here included monogrammed canvas boat totes with matching koozies, thermal to go tumblers, nylon tote bags, and linen dinner size napkins.

What a Bride wants, What a Bride needs.....

Today's post is going to focus on things wedding related. Since I had 6 weddings to attend this year, I have found myself wanting to concentrate on items that were not of a wedding nature. Now that I have recovered from what seems to be the last year of every weekend is a wedding, I can now turn my focus back to bridal.

Here are a few photos and fun gift ideas.....I am working on flower girl buckets and ring pillows, so I hope to have photos of those soon.

Happily Ever After.....Isn't that what every bride wants? This ribbon stitched into the hem of a dress not only counts as your something blue, but also has some great photography potentioal.

The flowers from your bouquet will fade within a few hours or days, but a lovely bouquet sash will be with you forever. I can see this put away for the wedding of a family member or future children. Bouquet sashes also look lovely displayed with other mementos in a shadow box. A very versatile item, you can go with a single color initial, a tone on tone version, or a couples monogram. The choice is yours!

This bouquet sash was monogrammed with the brides maiden initials and attached to a ribbon from one of the client's bridal showers. She carried this "bouquet" at her rehersal.

This same client ordered koozies for the bridal party to use at the bbq theme rehersal dinner. Since many of the girls were engaged and about to change their names, we dicided to go with first names for the ladies and initials for the men. I could not leave the bride and groom out, so we made these special koozies just for them.

I think this large cosmetic tote is a great bridesmaid gift! It's washable and will fit nicely inside of the tote bag that your maids in waiting got the last time they were a bridesmaid. It comes in several colors and can be personalized with a name, initials, or a monogram. This would also make a nice thank you gift for the wedding director, jr. bridesmaids, or for shower hostesses.
